He moved with his family to Missouri in 1951 and graduated from Lincoln High School in the class of 1957. In February of 1959 he was inducted into the United States Army and was honorably discharged in March of 1961.
On September 2, 1961, he was united in marriage to Martha Downing at the Hogles Creek Baptist Church. This union was blessed with the birth of three sons; David, James and John.
Clifford accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a teenager at the Mt. Pleasant Church near his home.
He was a life-long farmer and enjoyed raising cattle.
He was a member of Shawnee Masonic Lodge #653 A. F. & A. M. in Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Phillip Dwyer, Jr. and one sister, Lavada Gardner.
He is survived by his wife, Martha, of the home; three sons, David Dwyer,(Francyne Dutton) of Kansas City, James Dwyer, of Cibola, Texas and John Dwyer, and his wife, Darla, of Manhattan, Kansas, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 9, 2012, at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, Missouri, with Charles Rose officiating. Masonic Funeral Rites will follow.
Burial with full military honors will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home prior to the services.
