Caroline Wood Parsons Sharp, 89, died Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Bracken Nursing & Rehabilitation in Brooksville, Kentucky. She was born August 15, 1926, to the late Wilbert and Tersia Case Parsons. Caroline was an active member of the Fairview Christian Church, Eastern Star, Johnsville Homemakers and Bracken County Quilt Club. She was married to the late Gayle Sharp, who predeceased her in 1995.
She is survived by five children: William Allen (Nancy) Sharp of Brooksville, Gayle (Linda) Sharp of Smyrna, Tennessee, Carroll (Peti) Sharp of Foster, Kentucky, Stephen (Diana) Sharp of Brooksville and Darlene (Ed) Purcell of Foster; one sister, Neva Joyce Hamilton; one niece, Valerie Wagoner; one nephew, Jeff Hamilton, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a niece, Teresia Gretche.
Visitation will be Friday, September 11, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Moore & Parker Funeral Home in Brooksville. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 12, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Christian Church. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Johnsville Cemetery.
