Eugene John Ard, 79, of Champaign died at 10:18 a.m. Monday (Sept. 7, 2015) at home.
Mr. Ard was born on May 21, 1936 in Ivesdale, the son of John and Margaret McGuire Ard. He married Lois Schoonover on Jan. 14, 1971 in Urbana. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Tim (Teresa) Ard; one stepson, Richard (Terry) Gililand; one stepdaughter, Connie (Brenda) Gililand; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Ard was a farmer, warehouseman and also worked for Lincoln Trail Library.
He was a member of the Moose and a former member of the Eagles.
