Elton Ray Brooks, age 78, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle, Georgia from congestive heart failure. Ray is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Brooks of Greensboro; daughter, Denise and Larry Crowe of Roswell; son, Scott and Anita Brooks of Snellville; son, Mark and Pam Brooks of Douglasville; granddaughters, Amanda, Ashley, and Leah Brooks of Snellville; grandsons, Preston and Parker Brooks of Douglasville; brothers, Adron and Hubert Brooks; sister, JoAnn Dutton; and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Ray will be remembered by all whose lives he touched for his generosity, humor, mischievous ways, and big heart. Before his death, his family honored him with a eulogy party where the memories of his life were shared by his family and friends. It was a celebration that he cherished throughout the remainder of his life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hosptial, P.O.
