Death came to David S. Crafton, 91-year-old retired decorator, Thursday afternoon in the Madison State hospital in Madison, where he had been a patient for two weeks.

Mr. Crafton had lived alone at 1011 West Fourteenth Street, and had been in failing health for several years. Complications accompanying old age, caused his death.

Born in Indiana, the son of John and Lucy Crafton, pioneers of this state, Mr. Crafton had lived most of his life in Monroe county. He was a member of the Christian church.

He is survived by one son, Paul Crafton, Clear Creek; two grandchildren, Mrs. Dillard Saunders and David Crooke both of Westbaurne, Tennessee; three nieces, Mrs. Robert Jacobs, Mrs. Emmett Patton, both of Bloomington; Mrs. Dow Strain, Colorado, and one nephew, Logan Crafton, Bloomington.

Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock, Saturday morning, in the Clear Creek Christian church. The Rev. George Wyatt will officiate and burial will be in the Clear Creek cemetery.

The body will remain at the Allen Funeral Home.
