Howard F. (Pat) Watson, 59, of 128 E. Lincoln Street, Sycamore, died June 15, 1971 at the Sycamore Municipal Hospital.

Mr. Watson was born April 4, 1912 at Rochelle, the son of Thomas and Olive Watson. He was united in marriage to Gwendoline Cartwright in 1944 in Birmingham, England. He was employed at General Electric in DeKalb.

Mr. Watson was a member of the Sycamore V.F.W., the Sycamore Elks Lodge and the Eagles Lodge of DeKalb. He served as a precinct committeeman.

Survivors include his widow; a son, Patrick and a daughter, Betty Marlene, both of Sycamore; two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Edna) Nelson, Sycamore and Mrs. Pete (Sadie) Thompson, also of Sycamore; a brother, Robert, Esmond; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 17 at the Van Natta Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald S. Bourne officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood cemetery where military rites will be held. There will be no visitation.
