Born in Rockbridge County on September 28, 1925, he was the son of the late Phillip Burton Link and Julia Bell Broughman Link.
He was a retired supervisor with Reeves Brothers, a veteran of WWII, having served in the U. S. Navy and a member of the V. F. W.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Irene Secrist Link, and son, Fred M. Link Jr. Survivors include a brother, Richard Link of Missouri; a grandson, Kevin J. Link, Buena Vista; a granddaughter, Tina Ann Link, Buena Vista.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 1994 at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Lomax Funeral Home.
