OBIT: OSSEO – (Special) Edward H. Barber Sr., 68, a former resident here, died Wednesday at his home at Baker, Mont. He was born July 9, 1903 at Arkansas and graduated from Durand High School and River Falls State Teacher's College. He taught school in the area for several years. He married Gladys Doughty in 1926 at Wabasha, Minn. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Edward Jr., Osseo, Homer, Chippewa Falls; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Elberson, Coos Bay, Ore; Mrs. Mary Burns, Baker, Mont.; Mrs. Jean Langner, Osseo; five brothers, Earl, Ladysmith; Cecil, George, Paul, all of Arkansas; Lynn, Pepin; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Toth, Waukesha; Mrs. Frank Finch, Hot Springs, S.D.; and nine grandchildren. Private funeral services will be held Monday at Oftedahl Funeral Home with the Rev. Reroi Johnsrud officiating. Burial will be in Osseo Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Sunday until noon Monday.
