OBIT: Mrs. Mary Ausen, 83, Osseo, died Sunday afternoon, March 30, at the Osseo Area Nursing Home. She was born May 28, 1891 at Eau Claire and married Henry Skogstad in 1917 at Eleva. He passed away in 1918. In 1922 she married Peter Ausen at Strum. They farmed in the Town of Unity until 1948 when they moved to Osseo. She is survived by her husband, Peter, Osseo; two sons, Paul Skogstad of Bremmerton, Wash., and Henry of Kansasville, Wis.; one step-son, Morris Ausen of Glenwood City; one brother, Benhard Brian of Eau Claire; three sisters, Mrs. Ager Smith and Mrs. Alfred Lund of Eau Claire, and Mrs. Ed Peterson of Rice Lake; 15 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 3, at the Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. H. P. Walker officiating. Burial was in the Osseo Cemetery.
