I left on my mission so young and so green
and with the will to learn many things.
I learned how to love, how to care and to trust.
To study the scriptures to brighten each day,
and to love God in every way.

I learned that families are golden and the true love that they share can never be known until you are separated from your family and home.
I have a family so dear and so sweet.
They give me support to strengthen my way.
I love them so much that it is hard to say,
but this I can say without any doubts,
that my family is special in every way.

I learned that I have many true friends,
that keep me standing while wanting to fall.
I grew like a weed so fast that it was hard to believe,
I learned to love God and his Son, Jesus Christ,
and that they live and love everyone.
I know that God lives and it is clear to me now,
That he is with us always if only we dare to be true.

My time was so short to serve the Lord
with all of my heart, but I learned many things.
And will always remain in the service of the Lord.
I'll always work hard and I may not be perfect,
and I may fall a few times, but with the help that God gives me I will always be able to hold to his truth.
These are a few of the things I never knew
and this is not all but for now it will do.

I'll always cherish the things that I learned,
and will never forget the happiness I now know
and the thanks that I give to my Father in Heaven
for giving me time to serve him one hundred percent of the time.
I know that he lives and this is his Gospel,
but now it is time to return to my home
and start a new mission of building a home
Thank you dear Lord for the truth I now know,
and guide me always to always be true.
