Ruby G. Carrier, age 98, of Bluff City, TN, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019, at her residence. She was born on September 27, 1920 in Bluff City, Tennessee a daughter of the late Eddie L. and Millie Smith Richards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Olly Robert Carrier; daughter, Judy Scoggins; sister, Rhoda Lowe; and son-in-law, Stanley Scoggins.
Ruby was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church. She loved flowers and gardening.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home in Bristol, TN. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jamie Ferguson and Pastor Rusty Verran officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Chinquapin Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Carrier’s caregivers for all their love and care shown to her.
