"Funeral Rites For Mrs. W. S. Fuller Are Held Thursday"
"Mrs. W. S. Fuller, 65, ill for the past twelve months, died at the family residence on West Washington street Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. Funeral services were conducted at the Graham Street Church of Christ Thursday afternoon at 2:30 with Elder Coleman D. Nichols officiating, assisted by Elder W. R. Yowell. Funeral arrangements were completed and handled by C. J. Russell of Higginbotham Funeral Home. Interment followed at West End cemetery.
Surviving Mrs. Fuller are her husband and five children as follows: Mrs. E. M. "Callie" McAlister, P. K. "Kruger" Fuller, Mrs. Lillie Spears and Mrs. Allie Day, all of Stephenville, and Cody O. Fuller of Midland. All were present at the time she passed away. She is also survived by a brother, George Lee, at West, TX.
The Fullers have made their home in Stephenville since 1920, moving here from Dublin where they had lived since 1896 when they were married. She was Miss Susan Lee, who lived at Thornton where she grew to womanhood. Soon after the marriage Mr. and Mrs. Fuller came to his home at Dublin where he was associated with the Dublin Progress as a printer. Since coming to Stephenville Mr. Fuller has been employed on local newspapers and on his present situation for the past eight years.
Early in life Mrs. Fuller became identified with the Church of Christ and was a loyal member of that faith. She was recognized as a woman of high principles and religiously lived up to a high standard of citizenship. In recent years her health had been bad, yet she remained cheerful and happy in her surroundings. She steadfastly bore up under the pains she suffered, and refused until the last to submit to the inevitable. Kind friends and neighbors who were with her during her last hours remarked about her courage and spoke tender words of her happy disposition.
Many Stephenville and Erath county people were present for the funeral, bringing words of sympathy and beautiful flowers to attest their love and respect for the deceased.
Funeral arrangements were completed and handled by C. J. Russell of Higginbotham Funeral Home."
