Mildred went to McKean High School. She was a metal worker for sterling factories for fifteen years. She was married to her husband, Donald George Pierce, in 1951 at the Belle Valley Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Donald George Pierce, and three siblings: brother, Charles Abbott, sister, Marion Abbott, and brother, Henry Abbott.
Mildred is survived by three children: James C. Pierce of Erie, Keith A. Pierce and wife Barbara A. of Millcreek, and Terri L. Fleck and husband John C., five grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Interment will follow the service at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
