She married first Benjamin Franklin Carter on 10 March 1864 in Morgan Co. Benjamin was listed as divorced in the 1870 census.

Dorothy was not found in the 1870 census. However, in the 1880 census, she was listed as divorced and had two children and none living.

Her first child was daughter was Annie Carter 1866-1883. The second child is unknown. Both are children of Benjamin Carter and Dorothy.

She married second David Caskey Blair (1821-1901) abt 1899-1900. No children.

She married third Anderson B Gose (1837-1926) as listed in the 1920 census. He filed for a Civil War Pension on 6 Jul 1888 for service in KY Co B 24 Inf. No children.

Dorothy was the daughter of Abraham Ellington & Rachel Wells. Further, Rachel was a daughter of Edmund Benjamin Wells 51332135 & Sarah Martha "Sally" Cassity 51332179. Edmund was one of the founders of Morgan Co, KY.
