Freddie married Dolores Arlene Brown March 15th 1957. They had two boys: James Clinton, and Orland Fred Grunewald. Uncle Freddie died of Cancer.

He was born November 29, 1935, in Kenedy, Texas to Gladys Grunewald. He was reared in Kenedy, Texas and played football in Junior High and High School. He served in the U.S. Navy 1956-62. He worked for many years in the oilfield and was respected by all he worked with.
He loved to square dance, He was an active member of the LDS church, and served in many callings.
His friends will remember him as a big man with a big heart.
