Ricky was the son of George and Elenor Johnson Davis. He married Myrtle McLain daughter of Owen and Daisy Duvall McLain. Ricky and Myrtle had three children, one son Thomas Richard Jr. or "Tommy", two daughters, Tammy, and Angie. Ricky drove a transfer truck cross country and died during one of his trips of a heart attack.
