Abner Ames Fort Fairfield and Limestone 93. Died 4-1-1982 at a Caribou nursing home after a long illness. He was born in Fort Fairfield 12-11-1888 the son of William and Mary (Spearin) Ames. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Fairfield, where he was engaged in farming until his retirement in 1959. Following his retirement he became a resident of Limestone. He is survived by 1 son, Wayne of Limestone, 1 daughter, Mrs. Curtis (Neva) Thompson of Limestone, 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildre, several nieces and nephews. Burial Riverside cemetery.
