Mr. Cale died Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He was cremated.
He was born Dec. 9, 1935, in Bergholz, Ohio.
Mr. Cale was an over-the-road truck driver for many years. In 1996 he began driving for Cannon Trucking in De Soto.
He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the De Soto Veterans of Foreign War Post No. 6654

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Cale of the home; four daughters, Angela Spencer and Carol Williamson, both of Lawrence, Kathy Cale, Yankton, S.D., and Heather Ginger, De Soto; three sons, Pete Cale Jr., Yankton, S.D., John Cale, Topeka, and Mike Cale, Sweet Home, Ore.; and 17 grandchildren.
His mother, Margaret Cale died in 1976. A grandson James Garrett Williamson died in 1988.
