Harry Bittenbender, 79, Pomona died at 5:10 a.m., today in Ransom Memorial Hospital. He had been ill since Jan. .
Services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday at the Towner Chapel. Rev. Jack Dennison will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, near Pomona.
He was born Feb. 9, 1886, in Franklin County and lived all except two years of his life in the county. A carpenter and farmer, he was the son of Al and Julia McCoonse Bittenbender. He married Grace Caleb, Aug. 11, 1915.
Surviving are his wife five daughters,, Mrs Edith Johnston, Oxnard, Calif.; Mrs Vincent Johnston, Mrs Sheldon Mundy, and Mrs J. B. Reeves, Ottawa; and Mrs Alva Glaze, Olathe, four sons, Sherm Bittendenber, Williamsburg; Alfred Bittenbender, Ventura, Calif.; Joe Bittenbender, Pomona; and Jack Bittenbender, Ottawa; 23 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
