Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Holtz, who died Saturday morning at the Donahue hospital, were held at the home in this city at half past one and at half past two at the Methodist church, with Rev. John D. Langness, of the First Congregational Church, officiating. Pallbearers were Jack, Ray and Gus Swanson of Sheyenne, Richard Hodge, William Christ and Walter Treffry of Superior township, and the honorary pallbearers were the members of the Sheyenne Royal Neighbor camp, of which deceased was a member and who had the services in charge.
Libbie Foreman was born in Jefferson county, Wisconsin, on October 27, 1875, the youngest daughter of John and Olean Foreman. She resided in Wisconsin until 1895, when she moved to Rock Island, Illinois, and was married to Henry Holtz on December 30, 1899, at Omaha, Nebraska. After residing in Omaha for a year, the couple moved to Rock Island and in the fall of 1909 they came to New Rockford where they have made their home ever since.
Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her departure five daughters and three sons, Ruby Hershey, Keytesville, Missouri; William Holtz, Minnewaukan; Wilma Benson, Woodworth; Amelia Newcomb, Minnewaukan; Mabel Christianson, New Rockford; Irene Johnson, Woodworth; Harold Holtz, Jamestown; and Donald at home. There are also fourteen grandchildren, three sisters and one brother - Mrs. William Klitzkie, Milton Junction, Wisconsin; Mrs. Frank Hollinger, Whitewater, Wisconsin; Mrs. Charles Klitzkie, Lima, Wisconsin; and John Foreman, Koshkoning, Wisconsin. Those present from abroad at the funeral were Ruby Hershey from Missouri and the three sisters from Wisconsin.
