The Monroe Advertiser chronicles the death, on the 1st instant, at his residence in Butler (Butts) County, of Mr. Edward Weaver, aged about 89 years. Mr. Weaver was one of the pioneers in Butts, and his death will be regretted by the community generally. His services under Gen. Floyd in 1812 entitled him to the thanks of his countrymen. He also served his neighbors as Justice of the Peace about twenty years, and in 1842, represented Butts in the Legislature. The community, and descendants to the fourth generation, mourn his departure from earth.
