J. L. Davis, 63, of Decherd, died February 22 at Methodist Hospital of Middle Tennessee in Winchester.
A native of Tennessee, he was the son of Dick Davis and Rosa Tucker Davis. A dye maker, he was employed by Cadillac Motors.
Services were held February 24 in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Burial was at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys E. Davis of Decherd; three sons, George Davis of Taylor, Michigan, Michael Davis of Fremont, Michigan, and Steven Davis of Wayne, Michigan; three brothers, Paul Davis and Wilburn Davis, both of Estill Springs, and R. D. Davis of Knoxville; two sisters, Bertha Throneberry and Faye Prince, both of Tullahoma; and six grandchildren.
