First wife of Rev Benjamin Green.∼Catharine Beem was the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Beem.
Catharine Beem married Benjamin Green Sr. in 1778 in Alleghany, Maryland.
On August 20, 1821, at the age of sixty-one, Catherine Beem Green, the mother of fourteen children who all grew to adulthood, died and is buried in (Beard-Green Cemetery) Newark, Ohio.
In 1822, Benjamin remarried to Martha Rees Lewis Green. Martha Rees's father was Theophilus Rees the founder, leader and patriarch of the Welsh Hills in Granville, Ohio. Martha is buried on the left side of Benjamin's grave.
Catherine is buried on the right side of Benjamin's grave.
