Funeral services celebrating the life of Carmen Sweat Smith will be held 10, Wed, July 22, 2015, in the Chapel of Hixson Bro, Alexandria, with Rev Tim Boswell officiating. Burial will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be observed from 9 until the time of service.
Carmen Smith, 80, of Alexandria, passed from this life on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at CHRISTUS St. Francis Cabrini Hospital.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker by choice and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, James Billy Sweat; second husband, John Smith; son, W. Randy Sweat and her parents, William and Frankie Ziegler Woodruff.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Earl S. Sweat, Charles E. Sweat; daughter in law, Janet Johnson-Sweat; stepsons, John M. Smith and wife, Debbie and Billy W. Smith and wife, Darline; stepdaughter, Laurie S. Albritton and husband, Dennis; grandchildren, Nicholas Sweat, Gage Sweat, Christopher Sweat, J. W. Sweat and Courtney Sweat; great grandchildren, Reagan Sweat and Payton Sweat and a host of other family members and friends.
