Funeral services for Mr. Billy Gene Daily, 64, of Cookeville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2001, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. John Daily officiating. Burial was in the Old Union Cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Daily died Monday, February 5, 2001, at his daughter�s home.

He was a factory worker for TRW Ross Gear, a U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of the Cookeville Freewill Baptist Church.

Born June 25, 1936, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Ben and Ellie (Neal) Daily.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Daily, Cookeville; a daughter, Phyllis Crawford, Livingston; a step-son, Marty Allen, Gainesboro; four brothers, Bob Daily, Jerry Daily, and Walter Daily, all of Rickman, and John Daily, Cookeville; two sisters, Magdalene Smith, Rickman, and Janice Brown, Alabama; a grandson, Travis Ledbetter; and a step-grandson, Hunter Allen.

Pallbearers were William Johnson, Don Ogletree, Roy Daily, Ronnie Flatt, Richard Ledbetter, and Albert Harris.
