Joretta Jean Leek, 83, of Libertyville, Ind., passed away at 9:08 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, at Union Hospital. She retired from the Sisters of Providence at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods after 28 years of service. She was born Nov. 9, 1931, in Libertyville, Ind., to Simon and Doris Garwood Judy.
Joretta enjoyed shopping, especially on her annual birthday weekend shopping trip in Indianapolis. She also enjoyed attending the covered bridge festival, playing cards, family Christmas gatherings and she truly enjoyed dinners every other Wednesday with her granddaughter.
Funeral services for Joretta are 2 p.m. Saturday at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. Third St. West Terre Haute, with Jeff Russell officiating. Burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. until services Saturday.
