Margaret J. (Callery) Edwards passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015. She was the wife of the late Russell G. Edwards.
Public viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 30 at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. A funeral liturgy will be held on Monday, August 31 at 12 p.m. at the Mortuary. Interment will follow in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, Md. The Rev. Sylvan P. Capitani will be officiating the funeral liturgy and Pastor Larry W. Parlett will be officiating the committal service.
Margaret was born September 5, 1926 in Frostburg, Md., daughter of the late John T. and Catherine (Canning) Callery.
Margaret was a very active, long-time member of the Stewartstown Senior Center.
She enjoyed going on trips and outings with the senior center, shopping and spending time with her family.
Survivors include daughter, Laurie Lurz and husband, Joseph "Marty" of New Freedom; grandaughters, April "Kristy" Lamartina and husband, Michael of Jacobus and Amanda Lurz and fiance, Cole Austin of Carney, Md.; great-grandson, Michael Joseph Lamartina; sister, Anne Clark of Catonsville, Md.
In lieu of flowers, donations are recommended to the Stewartstown Senior Center, 26 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363.
