A native of Missouri, Mr. Dodson was born at Kirksville, the son of Lewis Dodson and Rosa Mulford Dodson.
He had been employed in the Olney branch of the International Shoe Company for many years. He later moved to Kimball, Nebraska where he was employed by the Arapeho Oil Company. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Kimball, Neb., and an active member of the Noble Lions Club.
He was married to Mona Stoltz on February 15, 1947. She survives him.
Also surviving are the following children: James Dodson at home, Mrs. Barbara Clark of Newton, Mrs. Rose Cookson of Albany, Ga., and Marshall E. (Bud) Dodson of Westminister, Colo. There are 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Mrs. John Jones of Springfield is his sister and Jake Dodson of Kirksville, Mo. is his brother.
Funeral services for Mr. Dodson will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers-Rainey Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Eggebrecht officiating. Interment will be in the Sumner City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
