C.E. Delano, Passes to His Reward: Charles Edward Delano, aged 76 years, passed away at his home in this city, last Saturday morning, Feb. 6, 1926, following a short illness of pneumonia. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Christian church, conducted by the Rev. J.C. Mason, followed by burial, in the Forrest City cemetery. Active Pall bearers were: V.L. Hunt, J.T. Sanders, Walter Allen, J.A. Bondurant, W.W. Campbell, John I. Jones; Honorary: W.H. Aldridge, J.D. Baugh, S.H. Kelley, George Dooley, J.M. Campbell, A.N. Brantley, J.H. Neill, and M.R. McCrary. Mr. Delano was born in Kentucky, July 11, 1850. He had been a resident of Forrest City, for a long number of years, living a useful, Christian life, and rearing a splendid family in our midst. He is suvived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Eppes, Mrs. Foreman Kelley, Mrs. Bessie Hall; a son, Virgil Delano; two brothers, William Allen Delano of Forrest City, and John M. Delano of Bristow, Okla., and several grand children. Out of town visitors: Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Delano and daughter, La Gene, of Memphis; R.L. Delano of Memphis; Mr. and Mrs. John M. Delano (b. 1861-d. 1946) of Bristow, Okla., Mrs. Annie Mae m. Delano (James J.) Garrison, of Jonesboro; and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Bondurant of Cotton Plant.
