Mrs. Betty Lou Gill Church Banther, 74, of N. NC Hwy. 109 died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

Betty was born October 23, 1940 in Surry County a daughter of the late James Carl Gill and Susie Shinault Gill.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Richard Church.

Surviving are her husband, Donald Ray (Don) Banther of the home; two daughters, Cindy Sullivan and Christy C. Eads (Jeremy); two sons, Jerry Keith Gordon and Jamie Lee Gordon; two sisters, Wilma G. Pettitt and Joan G. Shaw (Richard); three brothers, Carl Ray Gill, Jimmy Gray Gill and Danny Wayne Gill.

A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Parklawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Winston Salem.
