Minnie Melugin, 95, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at a local nursing home. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home, 401 N. Main St., Springtown. Interment: Annis Chapel Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Minnie was born Jan. 21, 1916, to Zelma and William Laymance in Athens. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Springtown and a former member of Walnut Creek Baptist Church. Minnie was a member of the Azle Senior Center's Humdinger Band. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edgar Bivens, Thurman Williams and Arno Melugin; daughter, Elsie Lunsford; son, Jerry Clayton; three brothers; and three sisters. Survivors: Son, Harold Wayne Clayton of Fort Worth; daughter, Billie Haynes of Boyd; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
