Dr. Davisson's life was committed to virtues of family, the practice of dentistry, and service to his patients and community. He had many talents, hobbies and interests. He enjoyed music and played piano, organ, guitar, banjo and violin. He was a private pilot and traveled extensively throughout North America and Europe. He mentored youth with the Spartanburg County Foundation.
Dr. Davisson was predeceased by his parents, Bruce and Mabel (Herbert) Davisson, and first wife, Dr. Jane Louise (Miller) Davisson. Surviving are his wife, two daughters and a son, a brother and two sisters, seven grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
