Born in Manila, Arkansas, to the late Samuel A. and Lera Belle Baker Bollinger.
He was a 1951 graduate of Manila High School and later served in the U.S. Army. He had been a Ravenden resident since 1981 and was a lifelong farmer and rancher. Jimmie was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting and fishing. He was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Lutes Bollinger; one son, Mark David Bollinger; and a sister, Wanda Greene.
He is survived by three daughters, Terri Browning and her husband Clifford of Manila, Mollie Bollinger of Manila and Amanda Adams of Blytheville; one brother, Sam Bollinger of Manila; one sister, Pat Jolliff of Manila. He also leaves four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren
Graveside funeral services were in the Manila Cemetery with arrangements by Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila.
