Suggested edit: BIO: Albert had served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a sophomore student at Alabama Polytechnic Institute (now Auburn University) in pre-Veterinary Medicine. He was a passenger in a car with 5 other students that was involved in an accident with a truck, one mile east of Tuskegee. He and Thomas J. Russell, Jr., 26, were critically injured, each suffering from fractured skulls. The others were less injured. Albert succumbed to his injuries two days later, in the morning, while at the college's Drake Infirmary. Thomas died later that same day at a hospital in Birmingham.
