"Enos Barnes, 2nd (1755-1837), served as corporal and sergeant, Connecticut troops, 1775-83;
engaged in battles of Trenton, Princeton, White Plains, Long Island, Germantown, Monmouth, and many
skirmishes. In 1818 he applied for a pension. His claim was allowed. He was born in Branford,
Conn.; died in Marathon, N. Y."
