DOROTHY FAYE SIRLES, 93, passed away Monday, July 31, 2006, at Gibson General Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility in Princeton.
She was born in Gibson County on Aug. 6, 1912, to William and Mary (McLemore) Clark. She was a life-member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Luella Jean Jones and Mary Helen Clark; a daughter, Shirley Sisk; her first husband, William Brown; and her second husband, James Sirles.
Survivors include her two sons, Donald "Don" Brown, of Salisbury, Md. and Wendell "Bo" Brown, of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Lavon Cade, of Borger, Texas; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be graveside at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, 2006 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Francisco, officiated by the Rev. Fred Brittain. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery for services. Friends may visit with the family from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. VFW Post 1147 Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home.
