FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN GEORGIA
Mrs. Anna Woolley Lyons, 74, Leaves Husband, a Presbyterian Minister in Atlanta

Word was received here Tuesday night over the Atlanta, Georgia, radio station of the death of Mrs. J. Sproule Lyons, 74, formerly Miss Anna Woolley, of Greensburg, who passed away there Monday and was to be buried today.

The radio broadcast was heard by Miss Mary Rankin and came as a great surprise to the many friends here.

The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Woolley, and was born in Greensburg in 1862. She graduated from the Greensburg high school in 1879 and was prominent in the Presbyterian church as a member of the choir and also in society here for many years.

She married Milton F. Parsons of Rushville, Oct. 4, 1883. He died in 1901 and a son born to them died a few years later at the age of 18. Mrs. Parsons conducted the undertaking business for a few years after her husband's death. About 1905 she was married to Judge G.E. Daniels of Griffin, Ga., and located there. He died about ten years later.

About 20 years ago she married Rev. J. Sproule Lyons, who was pastor of a large Presbyterian church in Atlanta. He survives. Dr. and Mrs. Sproule were here in 1925 at the 100th anniversary of the Greensburg Presbyterian church, and he delivered the centennial address on that occasion. Dr. Lyons is now retired from active service and they lived in a hotel in Atlanta.

Mrs. Lyons was a woman of culture and charm and had many warm friendships here in her old home town. Miss Laura Blackmore, west of town, is a cousin. Mrs. Estelle Hamilton visited her in Atlanta a few years ago and Mr. and Mrs. Will woodfill met her there two years ago. Her passing brings many regrets to the friends here. She had been ill for over a year and her death was not unexpected.
