--Son of Zelia Burette Rimmer and wife Levada Moss. Although Kenneth's obituary states he was born in Cabarrus County, his birth record shows Rowan County. He graduated from J.W. Cannon High School in 1941. He worked at Cannon Mills until he entered the military.
--World War II Veteran: U.S. Army Air Corps. He entered the service in January 1943 and served in the military police.
--He received an associate degree in accounting from North State Business College.
--Occupation: He worked for Kentucky Central Insurance, then Pilot Life Insurance, Kannapolis Publishing, National Life Insurance, and lastly Tarkenton Insurance, retiring in 1987.
--Following his retirement, he kept busy doing the payroll for his wife's beauty shop and doing tax returns for people.
--He married Juanita Greene on July 15, 1944 in Cabarrus County. The couple had 2 daughters: Jan and Ginger.
