Adah Blanche Boeke passed away peacefully on March 4, 2010, at the age of 109 at the Loveland Good Samaritan Village.
Born in Grinnell, Iowa, in 1900, Adah attended Grinnell College.
She married Alfred A. Boeke in Marshalltown, Iowa, in 1921. Her husband preceded her in death in 1987.
Theirs was a long and harmonious union. Adah is survived by her sons, Alfred Boeke of Sea Ranch, California, Robert Boeke of Carmel, California; her daughter, Mary Louise Monroe of Windsor, Colorado; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A wonderful homemaker, Adah's hobbies included bridge, dominos, knitting, music, and singing. She is thought of as a legend. Having lived in the Good Samaritan Village for 19 years, she knew everyone and was loved by all.
