Born July 29, 1950 in Union, SC, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Willis Smith and Jeanette Marie (Stepp) Smith.
She was employed with Kohler Company for 32 years and a member of Clifton Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years Joe Dever Smith, Jr.; two daughters, Stacey S. Kimmons and her husband Thomas J. Kimmons of Inman, and Amy S. Hinson and her husband David C. Hinson of Greenville; four grandchildren, Joe Morgan Dulin, Jake Alexander Dulin, MaKayla Nicole Hinson, and Katlyn Leigh Hinson; a brother, Grover C. Smith of Spartanburg; and a sister, Laura S. Childers of Boiling Springs.
She was predeceased by a sister, Penny Smith.
Visitation was 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2006 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. William C. Howard and the Rev. Terry Layton. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
