Norma Joyce Brooks Holder, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, went to her Heavenly home from Chattanooga, Tennessee on Monday, June 27, 2022 at the age of 94.

As the last of fifteen children, Norma was born to Bertha and Charles Bennett on March 13, 1928 in Fletcher, Oklahoma. She married Alton Brooks in 1946, after which she spent many years raising their seven children and working with patients in nursing homes. Eventually she worked for HUD and its residents in Lawton, Oklahoma. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting beautiful patterns for family and friends. After the death of Alton in 1999, she married Don Holder and lived with him in Cookson, Oklahoma for fourteen years. After Don died in 2013, she moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee to live with Robert and Marjorie Miller, her oldest daughter. During her last five years, she lived with grandson, Kevin Miller and his wife Sommer, also of Chattanooga. She was preceded in death by her parents, fourteen brothers and sisters, husbands Alton Brooks and Don Holder, two daughters, Linda and Debra and a son-in-law, Larry Fithian.
