Mrs. Joan L. Campbell Dunbar was born in Lafayette, she married in 1965 in Otterbein to Lon Dunbar Jr. and he survives. Mrs. Dunbar was a graduate of Jefferson High school and was employed as a long distance operator at General Telephone the past twelve years. She was a member of Hope Chapel Presbyterian Church and the Communication Workers of America Local 5771. Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Tina and Denise Gregory, both at home; two sons, PFC Jeff Gregory with the U.S. Army at Fort Knox, and Seaman 1C. Robert Gregory with the U.S. Navy stationed aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Hancock; three stepchildren, Debra and Janet Dunbar, both at home, and PFC Tom Dunbar with the U.S. Army at Fort Knox, and her mother Orpha P. Campbell of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her father Fay Campbell.
