Alvin B. DeLong, Sr., 67, of 310 W. Morrell Street, a resident of Streator the past 20 years, died at St. Mary's hospital at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, following an illness of three months.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Winterrowd Chapel. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

The son of Edgar and Elizabeth (Wilson) DeLong, the deceased was born September 12, 1892 at Lockport. He was united in marriage with Olive M. Biamont on February 29, 1916 at L'Erable, Iroquois County, Illinois.

Surviving with the widow are two daughters: Elizabeth Jensen of Dwight and Patricia (Robert) Council of Streator; a son: Alvin DeLong Jr. of this city; and two brothers: Charles DeLong of Bradley and Leslie DeLong of Lemont.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and a daughter.

Mr. DeLong was affiliated with the Methodist church and was employed as a maintenance man by Christoff's Appliance at the time of his death.

Friends may call at the Winterrowd Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Tuesday until the hour of the service.
