Mrs. Elsie Bernice Craver Hill, 97, a resident of Piedmont Crossing Retirement Community, and formerly of Liberty Drive, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Henry Etta & Bruce Hinkle Hospice House.

She was born on July 5, 1918 in Guilford County, NC to Ranzo Valus Craver and Clara Ella Everhart Craver. She retired from Kayby Mills and was a member of Park Place Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W.B. Hill on April 13, 1996; and her sisters, Helen Harrington, Mamie Murphy Myers, Alice Miller, and Nancy Black.

Surviving are her sons, James Edward (Jimmy) Hill and wife Mary of Candor, NC and Jerry Don Hill and wife Donna of Lexington; daughter, Peggy Jane Hill of Thomasville; brother, Eric Gordon (Kenny) Craver of Trinity; sisters, Frances Moore of Archdale, Louise Watford of Thomasville, and Jo Ann Bodenheimer of Winston-Salem; two step-grandchildren, Kelly Lamonds of Biscoe, NC and Stan Reich of Greensboro; seven step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
