Edgar B. Rockwell, 66, of 34 W. California St., Mercersburg, died in the Chambersburg Hospital at 6 p.m. Saturday. He had been a patient there four days and died unexpectedly. He was born Jan. 14, 1894, in Mercersburg, a son of the late John and Hannah Starliper Rockwell. He was a plumber by trade and was last employed by the Loewengart Company, Mercersburg. He was a veteran of World War I and was a charter member of Clarence Armstrong VFW Post No. 6241, Mercersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Mussellman Rockwell; a daughter, Mrs. Nolan Myers, York; a son, Richard L., Rutherford Heights; a daughter, Jo Ann, at home; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Mackling, Chambersburg, and a brother, Ernest, Greencastle R.D. 2, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Linginger Funeral Home, Mercersburg, in charge of the Rev. Allyn Welliver. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the services. Military services will be conducted at the grave by the VFW post.
