She was the former Lucille Barton, a native of Knox County, KY, a quiltmaker and a member of Kenwood Baptist Church, the Cast Offs Square Dance Club and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two sons, Larry B. and Dennis R. Simpson; two daughters, Carol Frederick and Peggy L. Chesher; a sister, Jean McCarty; eight grandchildren; and two great-grand-children.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at family-owned J.E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home, 7330 Southside Dr., with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service. Memorial gifts may be made to the Alpha One Foundation, 2937 SW 27th Ave., Suite 302, Miami, FL 33133.
