Daniel Allen Auwerda, 60, of Hammond, passed away on August 19, 2015. Born on May 4, 1955 in Gary, Indiana to the late Donald (Nancy Ames) Auwerda. He worked in roofing and siding, previously worked at Pepsi and US Steel, he enjoyed fishing, walking, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survived by the life of his life for 24 years, Debra Cummings, cherished son, Jacob Cummings, siblings, Cindy Gasvoda (late James) and Joel Ames, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 12 noon at the Frazier Funeral Home, 621 S. Halleck St., DeMotte, Indiana 46310, where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Services will conclude at the Funeral Home as cremation will follow.
Daniel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
