Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum in Lafayette. Reverend John De Leeuw will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include her two daughters, Wileen Clause and husband Carol, and Pearl Delcambre and husband Victor; two sons, Joseph E. Simon and wife Nita, and Gaylord Simon; ten Grandchildren; seventeen Great Grandchildren; and one Great-great Grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "J.E." Elton Simon; and her parents, Romain and Euphrasie Broussard.
Pallbearers will be Keith Clause, Scott Clause, Jesse Delcambre, Joe Simon, Jim Simon, and Colby Simon.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Shane Delcambre, Bobby Behringer, Christopher Tate, Aaron James Saxton Simon, and Hunter Hayes.
A Rosary will be prayed on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 6:30 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Saturday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday from 9:00 AM until time of services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Acadian Society for Autistic Citizens; 410 St. Pierre Blvd., Carencro, Louisiana 70520.
