Marie was born as Mary Wallace Lindsay to parents William Lindsay and Elizabeth Fitzcharles. She had 2 sisters, Ellen and Elizabeth and a brother William F. Linsday. She married Harry Whipple Gould in 1912 and they had one son, Harry Norman Gould. She lived in the Detroit area most of her adult life and worked for the City of Detroit. In retirement she and Harry moved to Pompano Beach, Florida. She later joined her son and grandchildren in San Diego, CA. where she died in 1970.
