Private graveside services for Orlan John Bryan of Choudrant will be held Friday, August 21, 2015 at Douglas Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Jones officiating.

Mr. Bryan was born October 7, 1945 in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England and passed away August 19, 2015 at the age of 69, when he lost his battle with diabetes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, O. C. and Joyce Bryan and his sister Jeanette Bryan.

He was an U. S. Naval Lieutenant and pilot with the 1st Vikings VS-21 Squadron in San Diego, California. After leaving the military he worked as a Computer Programmer for the city of West Monroe, Louisiana. He shared his love of aviation with his grandchildren who he loved with all his heart and spent his last years doing genealogy research on his family’s ancestry.

Mr. Bryan is survived by his wife Mary Joyce Bryan of Choudrant; daughters: Stephanie Antley and husband Joel Choudrant, and Cheryl Holloway and husband David of Ruston; brothers: Warren Bryan and wife Barbara of Ruston, Eddie Bryan and wife Connie of Choudrant, and Jimmy Bryan and wife Bonnie also of Choudrant; grandchildren: Brody, Luke and Abbey Holloway, and Caroline and Payton Antley; 11 nieces and nephews and multiple great nieces and nephews.
